Once we have found dates for your group we will help you plan your programme. Every group visiting New Barn Field Centre has it’s own individual programme of activities designed to suit it’s own particular theme, budget and Learning Objectives.

Accommodation is provided in the Barn, Cottages, Hayloft and / or Betty’s lodge. Whichever accommodation you book for your group it will be for your sole use only during your stay. We now only have one residential group on site at any time so you have the whole site to yourselves during your stay. The Boss is getting old and wants an easy life,,,, The Floor plan shows the ‘Standard Layout’ , however this can be flexible with extra beds added in some places if required.

Our lovely chef Norm will prepare and serve fresh and often home made meals. Healthy eating is very important to us. Groups choose their meals before the visit and all diets are catered for. Catering starts with the evening meal on the day of arrival, breakfast- either continental or cooked, then a Packed lunch,  finishing with a packed lunch on the day of departure. Menu’s and diet requests will be emailed to the group leader well in advance so plenty of time to make your choices, all to be returned by a week before the visit. We use as much fresh and local produce that we can. Our feedback rates our catering as exceptional.

Please contact us for more details and availability.

We are happy to supply you with local coach quotes for your consideration covering your individual travel requirements requirements. Links to our recommended transport providers are attached.

We specialise in ‘History, Conservation & Crafts’. Our famous ‘Living History’ days are always popular,  mix this up with one of our ‘Wilderness’ or ‘Nature’ days with crafts like ‘Pottery’ in our very own working Pottery workshop in the evening. We will keep you busy however many days you stay for. The visit usually ends with a campfire & BBQ with the usual campfire songs and entertainment or a ‘Shindig’ on the last night.

Our staff are on site at all times including overnight providing assistance if required. The Boss also lives on site in a house at the front.

All key staff are 1st Aid trained, DBS enhanced checked, Safe Guarding trained, Fire Awareness/ Warden trained etc and are on hand to help in every eventuality.
