The Barn is a converted threshers barn dating back to the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. It has been tastfully been modernised and still retains most of its original features. Built of flint and chalk with a slate roof it is an impresive building. |

In the centre of the barn is a large carpeted meeting area which is usually used as the main class room or conference area. Leading away from this area are the dorms and the wash rooms. The picture (left) shows three dorms, two on the ground floor and one upstairs behind another meeting area. The picture (right) shows the 8 dorm with the tv lounge above. | ![]() |
| Here we see Abi and Jeanette in the dorm of ten on the first floor. As you can see the rooms are light and fresh and comply to well within all the relevant regulations. Every dorm has a fire exit directly to the outside (which can only be opened from the inside).Every effort is made to make our visitors feel happy and comfortable during their stay with us.All the beds have duvets and pillows which are made fresh for your arrival. The materials and contents are feather free and generally non-alergic. The group leaders should make us aware of any alergies or medical problems before you arrive so if necesary we can prepare your room to suit your needs. | ![]() |
Below (left) you can see the largest dorm which sleeps a maximum of twelve. Next to this is the ground floor dorm of ten. Then directly below is the dorm of eight which is below the tv lounge. Underneath the beds you will find plastic tubs which helps you to pack your clothes and bits away and keep the room tidy and clear of obstruction. |

The group leaders rooms are both twin bedded and have their own wash room with wc, shower and a basin. The room on the right is the upstairs room (which leads directly to the lounge area above the eight dorm) and the one on the left is the ground floor room. The wash room is also on the ground floor. | ![]() |
| There are two
main wash blocks which lead off from the main meeting
hall. One consists of three showers and three w/cs and
severel basins where-as the other has two showers, two
w/cs and severel basins. There are two hot water systems opperating in the barn area so there is always ample hot water. |
