Go Wild at New Barn Dorset

Home of the National Model Museum Trust

& supported by Natural England

New Barn Field Centre is a residential & day field study centre. Set in the middle of its own nature reserve overlooking some of Dorset’s most glorious downland it gives it’s visitors young and old a real sense of the past and the possible future to come.

We have excellent accommodation for groups of up to 150 staying in our tastefully converted 18th century farmstead. The accommodation ranges from quaint cottages to an old threshing barn. The new ‘Betty’s Lodge’ sleeps twenty children and staff with full disabled access & facilities, wet room, lounge and all bedrooms are en-suite. We generally focus on KS2 groups but can accommodate any group by arrangement.

Every group has it’s own individual programme designed to fit the groups theme, requirements and budget!

Day groups visit New Barn to experience its famous ‘Living History’ days or one of our other fabulous themed half or full days.
